Meet The Team
Graeme Hills (PhD)
Founder & Managing Director
Graeme Hills is the founder and Managing Director of Graeme Hills Consultancy (GHC), a team of data-focused specialists who are dedicated to helping organisations make fully informed, accurate decisions by understanding and trusting their operational information.
Backed by a PhD in Astrophysics, Graeme’s professional career began in technical consultancy, working across a wide range of sectors, including insurance, biotech, recruitment, and health. Since 2009, he began working closely with businesses in the legal industry, bringing clarity to complex systems and processes.
Having observed firsthand how businesses often struggle with an overwhelming amount of data while lacking the necessary tools or insights to use it effectively, Graeme is aware of the pitfalls organisations often encounter. He has also seen how businesses often fall into the trap of chasing superficial cost savings while neglecting the bigger picture. His focus has always been on helping clients avoid these mistakes by establishing reliable and useable data processes that support long-term strategy rather than short-term fixes.
Identifying how he could help businesses improve their reporting efficiencies and gain a better understanding of what their data is telling them, Graeme founded GHC in 2018 to bring his vision to life. With his deep understanding of the legal industry, this same approach led to the development of Aquarius Reporting, a platform designed to help law firms gain control over their business information and make informed, data-driven decisions based on evidence rather than assumptions.
Graeme believes that the best solutions come from combining different ways of thinking and has built a team of specialists from a range of scientific backgrounds, including life sciences, data engineering, and experts in Power BI and Power Automate.
Whether working with a startup or a large, multi-discipline legal practice, his focus and that of his team remain the same: to help businesses improve profitability and operational efficiency by making more strategic decisions with the information they already have.
